Gone But Not Silenced

This week in America we mourn the death of a beautiful spirited young man “Charlie Kirk”. His life ended at the age of 31, leaving behind a wife and two young children along with his parents and many other relatives.

Charlie did not die of a disease or accident, he died by the hand of another simply because of his tongue. He spoke to our young college students. He wanted them to know the truth, not what they heard from politicians or media outlets.

Charlie was a voice for Jesus. He used his love for Jesus to pass on wisdom and knowledge to millions in his life time. Charlie Kirk died an “American Martyr” as he was shot to stop him from speaking out against sin.

Now I want to speak of another Martyr most know of “Steven”. He was stoned because of the work he had been called to do, bringing salvation  to the people.

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
— Acts 6:8

Who hated Steven? The Jewish High Council, the Sanhedrin, the men who form the highest legal judicial authority in Israel. They are like the judges, the lawyers, the teachers. They were the men who everyone else in Israel listened to and looked up to, calling them “Rabbi” and calling them “teacher”.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
— Acts 6:10

Steven would teach what the Holy Spirit had taught him which angered the leaders. No matter what they did they were unable to shut him up.

So what did the leaders do? They riled up the people. See the leaders didn’t like the fact that Steven was calling out their sin.

The leaders thought if they stoned him that would be the end of those teachings that were against their lifestyle. But they were wrong because the very opposite happened. The gospel spread throughout the land as others stepped up, continuing the message.

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and hauling men and women to prison.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
— Acts 8:1-4

Now, I want to go back to Charlie Kirk. The liberals have tried to shut the mouth of anyone who speaks the truth according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Why? Because they walk in sin. Because they justify their actions. Because they want others to live in sin with them.

Jesus gave His life on the cross for mankind to live with the hope of eternal life in heaven.

Steven gave his life for the gospel to be preached in order for salvation to be available to all who believe.

Charlie Kirk gave his life so the deception that has spread across America would not destroy our youth.

Just as with Jesus and Steven those that loved Charlie must take the gospel throughout America, walking in love, teaching the truth.

We must not allow his voice to be stopped. So rise up. Allow the Holy Spirit to give you the wisdom to speak the truth.

We Must Continue The Work According To The Gospel.
